As I've mentioned on this blog many a time, I'm a lucky food nerd to have so many ethnic restos close by to the home base. As we were driving down to the local home depot, I pulled over to check this place out since I saw a ton of cars in the parking lot. They basically do diner food latino style - more fun and flavorful than your average local diner.

Arepas con Queso y Huevos *
Flavorful eggs - scrambled with a ton of stuff (tomatoes, onions, etc.). Pretty fun when you eat it with the arepas con queso - arepas were a tad dry though. Plaintains kicked massive ars.
Carne Molida *
Flavorful ground beef that seemed oddly very fluffy - maybe bread mixed into the mixture?
Chorizos ** | Empanadas *
Totally different from the spanish and Mexican chorizos. This had a super porky thing going on, but was lighter and had a pleasant citrus thing going on. The empanadas were pretty fun as well - nothing spectacular but pretty satisfying.
Fresh Guava Juice **
They have a ton of fresh tropical fruits they can blend with either milk or water for you. This was so refreshing and delicious, I would go back just for the shakes.

Overall Restaurant Experience
- Food – Fun diner food done latino style. They give you a ton of food and it was a funny touch using old school chinatown plates.
- Service – Service took a little while, but not awfully so. The manager and waiters were extremely friendly and accommodating.
- Atmosphere – Bright and colorful place with Latin music playing in the background. Much happier environment than your standard diner, which I still dig btw. The place was packed at 1pm on a Sunday. We were lucky and got seated right away, but 10 minutes later - there was a line of 5 couples deep to get in. The place is all hispanic and all eyes were on us when we stepped in. Pretty funny...
- Price - Dishes are about $8-10 so totally reasonable considering they give you a ton of food.
A very fun place for brunch and definitely will be stopping by again in the future.
Glad you liked the Colombian food, dude! Arepas are always dry. they are the tortilla of Colombia made with maza, so you won't see a moist tortilla, either. The licuados (shakes) are so natural! Have them use milk vs. water. So much better. I have a list for you to try next time, like lechon (whole pig on a spit!), morcilla (blood sausage), bandeja paisa (platter full of things from egg, chicharron, chorizo, & more - to fill up the farmers' bellies), churrasco (skirt steak), sancocho (stew with a whole mess of stuff thrown into a pot), & more. Some of the desserts are really good like guava y queso, queso y chocolate (salt & sweet, which I don't like, but actually work really well with the fresh farm cheese "queso fresco"), arequipe y brevas (like their dulce de leche/caramel (but better) and dates), and so on.
