There's a Korean Restaurant Week in NYC starting today, Monday September 29th lasting till October 4th. This year's event focuses on bibimbap - basically a Korean style fried rice. Restaurants participating in this event will include an app, bimbimbap, and dessert for $15 (dinner and lunch). I've been to a couple of places on this list, but I would only recommend Persimmon or KumGangSan for bimbimbap. Thanks to Hoves for the heads up.

I called around some Korean restaurants to see what the difference between $15 dinner and $25 dinner. What I can say after calling about 10 different participating restaurant is that, there really isn't that much of a difference. No BBQ is included in these deals. Only one place was offering this - HanGang (probably because they never get business there to begin with?) I don't know, how good of a deal this Korean Restaurant Week is....
ReplyDeleteD'oh...thanks for the heads up. Still a good excuse to check out some Korean restaurants though...
ReplyDeleteDon't believe that persismon is good. I went there and the food was so bad. I wanted to go to another Korean restaurant afterwards because I didn't even eat the food.
