The wife and I just finished watching JCVD (awesome movie) and wanted an after movie dessert. Figuring why not try Momofuku Bakery and Milk Bar, since it was a block away. At Momofuku Milk, they have cakes/pies, soft serve, and milk that they end up flavoring. We decided to give the snickerdoodle soft serve a try - what a bad mistake. Texture was perfectly soft, but the flavor was like vinegary and super sweet...kinda like a disgustingly sweet stinky sock. All this for the low cost of $4.34. Granted, maybe other things taste good on the menu, but Chang will not get my money from this place ever again. I get the idea of the place - well done desserts with a unique twist, but like all food - quirky ideas only work well if the stuff tastes good. In this situation, it did not and cost a whole lot like everything else on the menu. Also, the place was packed and filled with douche bags...good times!
