I've been having fun making these dumplings more and more these days. Part of it is probably because my kids come and want to help out. There is something truly great when you are able to pass on something you are passionate about to your kids or loved ones. As for me, my mother taught me how to make these when I was a kid living in Japan. We would make them perhaps once a month and I would always be in awe how uniformly she would be able to named her's. I always kept that in my mind and hopefully one day be able to replicate something of that memory. <br />

Growing up in Central Jersey, this was an after thought. A legit Jersey Sub. But now moving out of the state, nobody seems to make one just like those childhood years. So when I find myself back in good 'ol New Jersey, I stop in for a real treat. These beautiful nuggets of White Truffles from Piedmont, Italy are something amazing. They have the aromatic strength of 50 roses, and when warmed, they emit a bouquet of elegance through out the dining room. They seek a pretty penny but well worth the experience when properly executed. </div>

Had an urge to fry up some dumplings the other day. Ran to the market to grab ingredients and after an hour or so, we had dumplings for lunch. </div>

An 8 seat Chefs Tasting Menu done once a month. One of the many spectacular dishes : This thinly sliced Miyazaki A5 Ribeye was lightly torched and garnished with a soy reduction and edible flowers. Like the autumn leaves falling off the trees, it was as if you were foraging little morsels of decadence bite after bite. If you are in the Boston area and looking for a really good bowl of Ramen, Oisa Ramen Slurp & Go is a great option. Located in the Financial District, it's a brisk 8 min walk from Government Center Station. Pictured above is their signature Tonkotsu Ramen. Hearty (But not so dense like chowder) Pork broth with signature Hakata style noodles, you get to enjoy the flavors of Fukuoka Japan with this bowl. The Chashu is made from premium Duroc Pork raised in Iowa and the pickled mustard greens and ginger give this bowl a taste of home for those of you from Southern Japan.
