Pork Buns

Ever since Dave Chang of Momofuku dished out Pork Buns, a whole onslaught of restaurants have copied suit. Especially the Japanese Ramen joints in Manhattan.

Well the verdict is Mr. Chang's pork buns are still the ones to beat.
I don't know why but these Japanese places insist on squeezing mayonnaise and also tossing in a slice or two of lettuce.
One thing that separates Hide Chan Ramen is they torch the pork belly with a burner so you get that fresh char aroma and flavor.

B+ all in all. I would definitely order these pork buns again.
