Coca Cola for 2009

Can't say I'm too surprised with what Coke has done.
I've always been a huge fan of their "Classic".
But ever since I realized they were so much more than just Cola... Dasani, Vitamin Water, Minute Maid, Fanta, and now this... Coca-Cola Tea
Every year, I've been tucking away 10 to 20 shares of COKE and believing it's a good investment for the future. Hey, if it's good enough for Warren Buffet (who's a die hard Cherry Coke drinker and major shareholder), it's good enough for this dude.

Green tea Coca Cola to debut in Japan

TOKYO — Forget "Classic" or "New" Coke.

In Japan, you can soon have your cola flavoured with green tea or basil. Coca Cola (Japan) Co. spokesman Katsuya Sato said today that green tea-flavoured Coca-Cola will hit Japanese stores June 8.

Sato says it contains tea antioxidants called catechins, leaves a slight green tea aftertaste and is mainly targeted at health-conscious women in their 20s and 30s.

He says: "We wanted to cater to people who are looking for something that tastes good but is also good for health and beauty."

Coca Cola is the leader in Japan's cola market but faces stiff competition from non-carbonated bottled drinks such as tea, coffee and fruit juices.

Rival Pepsi Cola is countering with another exotic cola - Japanese basil-flavoured "Pepsi Shiso," which hits stores in late June.
