NY Times...what the f does 3 stars mean?

Props to Mr Chang for collecting his second third star restaurant (Ko being the other). Although he did redeem himself after the ethereal experience at Ko, it's still quite irritating that the NY food world is still madly in love with the Tom Brady of food.

But...my real beef is what's with the three stars for Ssam Bar. Can you really compare Ssam Bar to Eleven Madison Park or Robuchon in terms of quality? Heck, I don't even think it belongs in the same category as Momofuku Ko. I have no idea what three stars even means anymore from the NY Times. I'm hoping we dudes at least provide you enough information that tells you why we ranked a restaurant thusly and a ranking that makes it easier to compare to other restaurants...
