Izakaya in Kumamoto

The word Izakaya can loosely be translated to Trattoria for us westerners.
Simple preparations of local and seasonal ingredients served in a homey neighborhood environment.
Tons of beer, sake and shochu to be had while sitting down with friends or family.
Sharing the time together with spectacular food. What could be better?

Grilled Sanma with freshly grated Daikon, and Dago Jiru (a starchy miso soup)

Variety of Yakitori Skewers and Crispy Pan Fried Noodles with Seafood Ankake Sauce
