Happy New Years!

Happy New Years to all the dudes and dudettes this year! Hopefully, everyone had some good eats for the holidays and wishing everyone even better eating in 2010.

The wife, in-laws, and I went to our friend Cindy and Brian's house for a ridonkuluous homemade Chinese feast for New Year's Eve. Everything was spectacular and the best dumplings I've had state side. And, yes the skins were homemade as well!

Our Menu
  • Tea smoked egg, seaweed, cured dry tofu (do gan), pickled cabbage
  • Sho Hong Gwa - Pickled cucumbers that were crunchy, sweet, with a little spice
  • Ma Yo Gee - Amazing soup that had a rich chicken flavor with a slightly bitter Chinese herb thing going
  • Chou Dofu - stinky tofu; pungent tofu that has a cheese like flavor to it
  • Nyo Ro Shen Bing - beef pockets with an asian twist
  • Jo Chai Huh Ze - garlic chives, eggs, rice noodle, and cured tofu
  • Pork Dumplings
  • Seafood Dumplings
  • Flan
