Stone Barns

The wife and I loved visiting Nyack, so we wanted to continue the Hudson Valley tour looking at "real purty" leaves with a visit to Stone Barns - a great farm near Tarrytown, NY. It's about 40 minutes from us and was well worth the trip. You can casually walk around the farm on your own or you can sign-up for one of the farm to table tours where you pick the produce and have them cook it for you.

One of the biggest benefits is the farmer's market where you can get phenomenal products. Also, it's a very family and dog friendly as there a ton of munchkins and dogs running around the square. The only caveat is avoid the cafe since the wait is way too long (40+ minutes) and the quality was not worth the price and wait. Any who, Stone Barns is highly recommended and we definitely will make a trip back to eat at the restaurant Blue Hill.
